Yesterday we officially became the only school open in Alexandria. The government schools don't have classes during Ramadan and most of the other International schools have shut down due to H1N1 flu. Yesterday the British school had a case of the flu and closed classes, leaving us as the only school open in all of Alexandria.
Today we officially have our first case of H1N1 flu. We are still open and continuing classes but monitoring the situation closely and taking lots of health/safety per-cations for our students and staff.
Does anyone else see the irony that the American school is the only school working on Labor Day?

Yuck, stay safe over there you guys. Keep washing those hands. :) It is very ironic that you are in school when I'm sitting here on the couch watching "Finding Nemo" and making steak soup. :)
